 GLIDER PILOT KILLED AFTER MID-AIR COLLISION NEAR GOULBURN IN NSW 

A sailplane pilot has died after the non-powered aircraft he was flying was involved in a mid-air collision with another sailplane above a rural property at Carrick north-east of Goulburn in NSW

The 50-year-old sustained fatal injuries on impact his 70-year-old passenger was injured and transported to hospital - the other glider involved landed safely with the 72-year-old pilot escaping uninjured

 ULTRALIGHT PRANG NEAR TAREE IN NSW CLAIMS LIFE OF PILOT 

A recreational pilot has died after the ultralight aircraft he was flying crashed in unknown circumstances on Mitchells Island near Taree in NSW

The News Desk understands (researched not confirmed) that the aircraft was a modified kit-built single-seat Morgan Aero Works Super Diamond

 PASSENGER JET DAMAGED PARKING AT MELBOURNE TULLAMARINE AIRPORT 

A United Airlines Boeing 747 passenger jet was substantially damaged when it collided with an aero-bridge during parking at the Melbourne International airport

An investigation is under way by the ATSB that will include interviewing ground staff directing the 747 to it's parking bay and CCTV video from the airport operator
