A Virgin Boeing 737-800 bound for Maroochydore with 175 passengers on board collided with an empty Jetstar A320 during the 'push-back' phase when both aircraft were on the taxiway

"No one was injured in the accident - Passengers were delayed nearly five hours while a new plane was found" - the damage bill is reported to be around $5 million for both aircraft

The ATSB has reported on a Robinson R22 helicopter accident at Camden airport west of Sydney in NSW wherein the pilot lost control of his rotary-wing flying machine during a training exercise

"...While the helicopter was hovering during taxi the pilot lost directional control which resulted in the aircraft impacting the ground" ...the pilot was uninjured
