 CESSNA 210 WHEELS-UP LANDING AT RAMINGINING IN ARNHEM LAND IN THE NT 

The pilot of a Cessna 210 escaped uninjured after the undercarriage failed to extend due inattention when landing at the remote Arnhem Land community airstrip about 275km east of Darwin

"The Watch Commander Senior Sergeant Pusterla said the landing happened when the pilot reported issues with the landing gear on his Cessna 210 about 6pm yesterday"

 MOONEY ENGINE FAILURE ON TAKE-OFF AT CANBERRA AIRPORT 

The ATSB has reported on a Mooney M20J that had an engine failure on initial climb-out at Canberra airport - there were no reported injuries after the aircraft landed heavily back onto the runway

This 1982 model Mooney was delivered new to Archerfield where it resided for a number of years it then moved on to the Toowoomba Aero Club and eventually ended up in Canberra

 LOCKYER VALLEY GAINS EMERGENCY HELIPORT FROM AIRPORT DEVELOPER 

As mentioned previously the development and construction of the Lockyer Valley Regional Airport near Gatton continues after obtaining approval from local councils and Government 'heavies' and now includes a recently constructed heliport

In supporting the local council the Airport has offered use of the heliport and associated fuel depot by emergency services helicopters if required in the future - the site is expected to be fully operational by July 2013
