 ULTRALIGHT CRASH NEAR GERALDTON IN WEST OZ CLAIMS LIFE OF PILOT 

A 59-year-old ultralight pilot from Dongara near Geraldton in west OZ has died after the unidentified ultralight he was flying crashed into a field at Bookara

“Eyewitnesses reported the aircraft falling from the sky (and then) burst into flames" - it had been reported overdue from a local Geraldton flying club

 ULTRALIGHT JABIRU STOLEN FROM NORTHAM AERODROME IN WEST OZ 

News media are reporting on a ultralight registered Jabiru that was stolen from within a hangar some time during this past week

“Jabiru SP 470 with stripes along the side and the registration number 19-3253 ..Police believe it was flown not towed away"

 FARMER FINDS STOLEN ULTRALIGHT IN CANOLA PADDOCK NEAR YORK 

A farmer checking his crop came across the Jabiru SP-470 in a canola field 2km from the Great Southern Highway about 6km south of York

“Police said the plane had been landed in the field and had not crashed" - suggestion is that it had been taken for a joy-flight

Two pilots have escaped uninjured after the L-39C Albatross jets they were flying collided mid-air during air-race training at the Reno Stead Airport USA

“It’s a safety seminar where pilots who are getting into racing come out and get trained in how to manage their environment while they are racing"
