HOME-BUILT QUESTAIR MAIDEN FLIGHT DISASTER AT BACCHUS MARSH IN VIC

A husband and wife team have escaped uninjured after the aircraft they had constructed ran off the runway and flipped over on completion of the maiden flight at Bacchus Marsh airfield in Victoria

The extreme high performance 310hp 2-seater sustained extensive damage to the metal wings and airframe
"...the couple in their 50s left the accident uninjured"

BELL OH-58A ENGINE FAILURE DEPARTING COFFS INJURES PILOT AND PASSENGER

The pilot and passenger of a Bell OH-58A helicopter were injured after the rotary-wing "stalled" at 100 feet departing Coffs Harbour in northern NSW

A forced landing was carried out but the tail section broke-off after terrain impact "...both men - aged 58 and 62 - are from Tasmania"
