ANOTHER JABIRU BITES THE DUST IN VIC AFTER APPARENT ENGINE FAILURE

A pilot has escaped injury after the ultralight registered Jabiru he was flying apparently had an engine failure and crashed onto the sixth fairway of the Red Cliffs Golf Course in north-west Victoria

"He’s clipped a tree and that’s taken the wing off and the plane’s ended up going 30 metres and then spinning around on the green"
"..the pilot did not need medical attention"

LEGAL EAGLE HAS WINGS CLIPPED IN DH-82A TAKE-OFF PRANG AT TOOWOOMBA

The former Solicitor-General of Queensland - Walter Sofronoff - has escaped uninjured after the vintage DH-82A Tiger Moth he was flying got caught in a cross-wing during take-off at Toowoomba Airport and ended up crashing through the airport fence

"He was today able to walk back to a hangar after freeing himself from the plane's wreckage"
"He is up and mobile, a little bit shaken, but outwardly appears to be quite okay at this point"
