STUDENT AND INSTRUCTOR UNINJURED IN LANDING CRASH AT ORANGE AIRPORT

NSW Police have advised that a 25-year-old trainee pilot from Marrickville along with his 64-year-old instructor from Mittagong have escaped injury after the Piper PA28 aircraft they were in carried out a heavy landing at the Orange airport west of Sydney that collapsed the port undercarriage leg

...landed heavily on the runway then slid 50m off to the side causing significant damage to the undercarriage


Police and NSW Fire & Rescue along with Rural Fire Services and State Emergency Services AND Orange City Council personnel attended
