PIPER NAVAJO CHIEFTAIN EMERGENCY LANDING AT ALDINGA IN SOUTH OZ

A pilot and his passenger have escaped with only minor injuries after the Piper PA-31 10-seater twin they were in carried out an emergency landing into a paddock one kilometre from the Aldinga Aerodrome in South OZ

The undercarriage was not extended for the landing and image perusal suggests the aircraft may have had a fuel supply or engine problem during take-off from Aldinga with the pilot initiating the emergency landing

TIGER MOTH WORLD'S DH-82A BEACH LANDING NEAR BARWON HEADS IN VIC

The vintage DH-82A operated by Tiger Moth World at Torquay in Victoria carried out an emergency landing on 13th. beach after an apparent engine failure

The pilot along with his passenger were uninjured - the beach goers and Tiger depicted Tiger Moth also escaped without a scratch

TOLL OPERATED BRISBANE-HONIARA FREIGHTER GEAR FAILURE ON LANDING

A Kiwi registered OZ operated Boeing 737 freighter - that had departed Brisbane earlier - had the starboard undercarriage leg collapse shortly after landing at Honiara International Airport in the Solomon Islands north-east of OZ

Last Week's Report had a similar type of accident occur to a light aircraft when a Piper PA-28R had the port undercarriage leg fail during landing - the three crew on board the Toll operated Boeing also escaped uninjured
