RPT - ARCHERFIELD -v- WELLCAMP - BIG IS BEST FOR AIRCRAFT AND AIRPORTS

Archerfield Airport to the west of Brisbane and the new Wellcamp Airport to the far-far west of Brisbane have been reported in the media as competing for the next round of Regular Public Transport flights to use their respective airports to service the travelling public

The travelling public favour dual aisle jumbo-jets over their single aisle counterpart and so it is with airline companies who prefer 'bigger' airports where the word 'bigger' refers to the runway length available that allows them to operate larger aircraft

The Battle Lines are drawn - May the Best Airport Win the RPT Dogfight
Archerfield Runway Length 1.47km
Wellcamp Length reported as 2.87km
