A passenger jet with 239 persons on board including two infants and 12 crew members is reported missing on a flight from Kuala Lumpur to Beijing in China

The Malaysia Airlines Boeing 777-200 departed Kuala Lumpur at 12:41am on Saturday "..lost contact with controllers just over two hours into the flight"

The Cairns based ex-charter company and flying school - Barrier Aviation - has placed a number of it's charter fleet of twin and piston engined aircraft up for auction after failing to regain it's operating certificate after CASA grounded the flying operations side in December 2012

The company had tried to regain it's flying ticket over the past 12-months but was unsuccessful and is now looking at selling aircraft to fund further activity
The OZ Government "Aviation Safety Regulation Review" is due to "report it's findings in March May 2014"
