DARWIN'S COMMUTER AIRLINE VINCENT AVIATION SHUTS DOWN - SACKS STAFF

The receivers and managers appointed to Darwin based Vincent Aviation have notified the 120 staff employed by the company that they no longer have a job and to return company assets if applicable

"Vincent Aviation has been flying to metropolitan and regional centres across Australia and recently expanded services between Groote Eylandt in the Northern Territory and Cairns in Queensland"

WITTMAN TAILWIND TAKE-OFF PRANG INJURES TWO NEAR LEYBURN IN QLD

Two men were injured when the ultralight registered aircraft they were in failed to gain height during take-off from a private airstrip and crashed into two trees at Leyburn in QLD's Southern Downs region

The pilot and his passenger...
"A 63-year-old man and 70-year-old man have been taken to Toowoomba Hospital by ambulance with injuries to their backs"

SHARP AIRLINES METROLINER SUCCESSFUL EMERGENCY LANDING AT ESSENDON

A Sharp Airlines Metroliner with a female pilot and five passengers on-board returned for an emergency landing after the pilot noticed an undercarriage warning light had illuminated after take-off

"Shortly after take-off the pilot noticed a warning light on the dash indicating there was a problem with the landing gear ..changed the globe as a precaution (but) still had a warning light"
