PILOT INJURED IN REPLICA TIGER MOTH CRASH AT ELWOMPLE IN SOUTH OZ

A 46-year-old pilot of a kit-built Tiger Moth replica received facial injuries after the home-built bi-plane he was flying crashed in unknown circumstances about 8-km east of Tailem Bend in South OZ

The pilot "..was treated by a medical retrieval team at the scene, then flown to Flinders Medical Centre in Adelaide"
The Australian Transport Safety Bureau is not expected to investigate this accident

QUEEN'S BIRTHDAY AWARDS HONOUR AVIATORS DICK SMITH AND CHRIS SPEROU

Two of Australia's outstanding aviators have been honoured this year - Dick Smith "..has been awarded one of the nation's highest honours, appointed a companion (AC) of the Order of Australia for eminent service to the community, humanitarian and social welfare programs, to medical research and the visual arts, and to aviation"

Chris Sperou and his flying talents have finally been recognized - awarded a "Medal of the Order of Australia for his services to aviation" in the Queen's Birthday Honours

Chris was previously awarded an Australian "Bi-Centennial (1988) Award" in 2013 by the London based Guide of Air Pilots and Air Navigators

PILOT AND PASSENGER SURVIVE C150 FORCED LANDING AT WARNERVALE

A 1976 model Cessna 150 had the engine fail when on descent into it's home airport of Warnervale - "Two men have walked away with minor injuries"

The 2-seat trainer type light aircraft
"...was at the end of a trip from Dubbo to Warnervale when it encountered trouble"
The Cessna was extensively damaged
