R22 HELICOPTER PILOT INJURED DURING MUSTERING OPS IN THE NT

The pilot of a Robinson helicopter was seriously injured after the R22 rotary-wing aircraft he was flying impacted terrain during mustering ops at Kiana Station

The ATSB reports the accident occurred 90km S of McArthur River Mine in the NT
"The pilot sustained serious injuries and the helicopter was substantially damaged"

CESSNA CPL PILOT SURVIVES FORCED LANDING AT SANDERS BEACH IN FNQ

The 58-year-old professional pilot of a 42-year-old Cessna 172 en-route from Palm Island to Townsville had the engine fail when over the coastline forcing an emergency landing at Sanders Beach

"...there might have been something wrong with the fuel such as water in it"

The pilot was taken to the Townsville Hospital for assessment

HELICOPTER CRASH IN HUNTER VALLEY CLAIMS THREE LIVES

The pilot and his two passengers have been found deceased after the twin-engine turbine powered helicopter they were in impacted terrain in the Watagan National Park near Martinsville in the Hunter Valley

"Media reports indicate that bad weather in the area may have been a contributing factor to the accident"
The EC135 rotary-wing was owned and operated by photographer Richard Green

FATAL GYROCOPTER CRASH AT TYRONE STATION NEAR CHARLEVILLE

A 32-year-old gyrocopter pilot was fatally injured after the rotary-wing aircraft he was flying impacted terrain during mustering

Media reports indicate the gyrocopter that crashed at Tyrone Station "..may have been used for mustering"

PILOT KILLED IN CRASH OF TWIN-ENGINE CESSNA AFTER POWER-LINE STRIKE

The 57-year-old pilot of a private Cessna 310 was fatally injured after the twin-engine aircraft he was flying struck power lines when on approach to land at Mildura airport in N-W Victoria

Appears to have had one of the engines fail during the landing approach
The 1979 model C310 went "completely out of control, spun around and dove head first into the ground"
