A Cessna 172RG operated by the Alice Springs Aero Club was damaged after the pilot apparently failed to ensure that the undercarriage was extended for landing at Elcho Island Aerodrome in the NT

The 172RG with 3-persons on board was on a private flight and had departed Ramingining earlier - "The aircraft landed with the landing gear retracted ..the two passengers and pilot escaped unharmed"
