18-year-old teenage pilot Lachlan Smart who departed from Queensland's Sunshine Coast Airport in a Cirrus VH-IBC on July 4-2016 for a solo-around-the-world flight has arrived in the UK marking the half-way point in the circumnavigation

"...Lachie is due home to Sunshine Coast on Friday 26 August at which time he will become the youngest person to fly solo around the world beating the USA's Jack Guthmiller by one year"

A 52-year-old pilot of an ultralight registered Ibis GS-700 Magic clipped trees and crashed during take-off from his property at Raglan
