PILOT SURVIVES EMERGENCY LANDING IN WEST OZ AFTER ENGINE FAILURE

A pilot aged in his 70's has survived a forced landing after the ultralight aircraft he was flying had the engine fail shortly after take-off from the Serpentine aerodrome at Hopeland south of Perth

"The plane's engine failed shortly after 10am and it crashed at Serpentine Aerodrome in Hopeland. The pilot was freed from the wreckage and treated by paramedics for minor injuries"
