 PILOT ESCAPES INJURY IN LANDING MISHAP AT REDCLIFFE AIRPORT 

TV News has reported on a landing incident at Redcliffe airport wherein a Cessna 172 left the runway and crashed into an embankment

The pilot was uninjured and was able to walk away from the damaged aircraft
A crosswind may have been the culprit

 MATURE-AGE PILOT SURVIVES ROTARY-WING PRANG AT LISMORE AIRPORT 

An 82-year-old student pilot of a Rotor-Way helicopter sustained minor injuries after the 2-seat rotary-wing he was flying solo 'fell-on-its-side' during a training exercise

 Quoting the Media:-
"It is thought the man was attempting take-off and landing manoeuvre at low altitude
..was treated by paramedics for leg injuries
"

 FATAL ROTARY-WING PRANG AT CARMILA SOUTH OF MACKAY 

A helicopter pilot has died after the Bell Jet Ranger he was flying struck power-lines during an apparent crop-dusting operation of a cane field at Carmila south of Mackay

 Quoting the Media:-
"the Jet Ranger helicopter clipped powerlines and crashed into a cane farm near Carmila...
the male pilot was the only person on board
"

 LISMORE LIGHT AIRCRAFT MISSING IN BYRON BAY AREA 

A search is under-way for a light aircraft with only the pilot on board that failed to return to it's departure aerodrome of Lismore by last light yesterday

"The Australian Maritime Safety Authority said the aircraft was recorded on radar before it disappeared ..the last contact occurred about 6-nautical miles N-E of Byron Bay"

Media has the person on board as a commercial pilot who had hired the Cessna from the local Aero Club

"...hired yesterday from the Northern Rivers Aero Club ...is a commercial airline pilot from Lennox Head"
