TWO MEN SURVIVE ULTRALIGHT EMERGENCY LANDING INTO CANE PADDOCK

A 35-year-old male along with a man in his 70s were injured after the Tecnam P92 2000RG ultralight they were in forced landed into a cane paddock east of Murwillumbah in NSW after an apparent engine failure

Early reports (were) suggesting a fuel leak was responsible
Both men "...were admitted to Tweed Heads District Hospital, both in a stable condition"
The aircraft had departed Southport earlier

PILOT & PASSENGER INJURED AFTER AIRCRAFT INVERTS ON LANDING IN FNQ

The pilot and passenger of a Van's RV-6A homebuilt aircraft were injured after the relatively new (2015) 2-seater flipped over during what appears to be a landing exercise at Starke Field around 7kms west of the Donnington Airpark at Woodstock in FNQ

"The man in his 60s has been flown to Townsville Hospital in a serious condition
The passenger (a daughter to the pilot) suffered a laceration to her arm and has neck pain ..was taken to the same hospital via ambulance in a stable condition
"
