An ultralight pilot of a Jabiru along with his 10-year-old passenger escaped unharmed after a loss-of-control issue during take off from the Dunmarra Servo airstrip in the NT after landing earlier to refuel at the truck stop

"A man and a child have escaped injury after the plane they were travelling in crashed on the Stuart Highway - the plane was taking off after filling up with fuel at the Wayside Inn when it flipped onto its roof and broke a wing"

 A mature-age ultralight pilot has survived uninjured after the Foxbat ultralight aircraft he was flying overturned during the landing sequence on his property at Currabubula near Tamworth
