ULTRALIGHT PILOT SURVIVES FORCED LANDING NEAR TUMUT IN NSW

The pilot of an ultralight Ragwing replica of a Fieseler Storch has survived a forced landing after departing earlier from Tumut Airport situated to the north of Tumut

The engine apparently failed in the ultralight with the pilot forced to land in a "...paddock near Wee Jasper Road about 800 metres south of the airport"

A very experienced Devonport pilot and member of the local Aero Club has lost his life after the single-seat aircraft he was flying crashed in unknown circumstances outside the Devonport Aero Club in Tasmania

The Avid Aircraft Mark IV ultra-light "...has crashed on the tarmac near the Devonport Aero Club - Recreational Aviation Australia would begin assisting Tasmania Police with investigations"
