Mouse over Text & Image to Expand  MATURE AGE PILOT PRANG The ATSB are investigating the cause of terrain impact of a home-built Vans RV-6A at the Somersby Airstrip on the Central Coast of NSW The aircraft ran off the runway and collided with trees "..the 75-year-old pilot was air-lifted to the Royal North Shore Hospital where he remains in a critical condition"

PILOT MISSING AFTER HELICOPTER DITCHES ON WAY TO PICK UP MARINE PILOT
Mouse over Text & Image to Expand  ROTARY-WING DITCHING AT SEA The ATSB are investigating the ditching of a twin-engine EC135 helicopter into the Indian Ocean about 30-km north-west of Port Hedland in WA The Eurocopter ditched just before midnight on Wednesday enroute to retrieve a marine pilot "..one crew member was rescued but the helicopter’s trainee-pilot remains missing"
